About Ezekiel Guti Junior
The Man Who Defied Condition
Ezekiel Guti Junior, affectionately known as EJ, emerged into the world as a profound testament to the miraculous power of the Lord Jesus Christ. As the beloved son of the Late Archbishop Dr. Ezekiel H. Guti and the mother of ZAOGA Forward in Faith, Apostle Dr. Eunor Guti, his arrival was marked by extraordinary circumstances. Doctors initially declared him stillborn, but through fervent prayer and unwavering faith, he defied medical expectations and was revived, embodying a living miracle.
EJ lived with physical disabilities—a speech impediment and limited mobility. However he refused to succumb to the limitations imposed by his physical condition. Encouraged by the boundless love and unwavering support of his parents, who treated him no differently than his siblings, he learned to navigate life with resilience and determination.
“..Giving birth to a child who is physically disabled is not a curse from God…. It does not mean that the child is useless and can never do anything in life. It’s just the body that has challenges but the mind is as clear as everyone’s.”
~ Ezekiel Guti Jr.
As EJ grew up, obtaining continuing education presented a hurdle for him, as the resources and facilities tailored to accommodate his needs were limited in his homeland of Zimbabwe. In order to find educational opportunities that could accommodate his needs a door opened in which he was able to go and study abroad. Though grateful for the opportunity, being away from home was not easy for EJ. He longed for the familiar surroundings of Zimbabwe, and the love of his family. Motivated by personal struggles and a deep-seated desire to ensure access to quality education for others facing similar challenges, EJ began having a vision to one day establish a school for the disabled in Zimbabwe.
EJ’s life took a joyous turn when he met and married the love of his life, Carol. Their story is one of deep connection and unwavering commitment. Despite the challenges that life presented, EJ’s determination to live fully and love wholeheartedly led him to this beautiful chapter. With the support of his parents and church leaders, EJ pursued Carol, who quickly became his perfect match. Their union was celebrated with a colorful wedding, surrounded by family and friends who marveled at the bond they shared.
Together, EJ and Carol were blessed with three beautiful children, who brought even more light and love into their lives.
As EJ grew, we always spoke words of life and encouragement to him. We never allowed him to know, think, or accept that he was in way different from other people. To Baba, my daughters and myself, EJ was not disabled but differently abled.
