Progress Update on Ezekiel Guti Junior Legacy School: January, 2024
Ezekiel Guti Junior Legacy School was born out of a profound vision by the late Ezekiel Guti Junior, who faced significant challenges in being accepted into ordinary schools due to his disability. He envisioned a school where students with disabilities could find acceptance, support, and quality education. Today, that vision is steadily becoming a reality.
The project officially took off in May 2023, and significant progress has been made since then. As of January 2024, the following developments have been completed:
- Two Classroom Blocks: These blocks are equipped to provide specialized education to our students.
- Ablution Blocks: These facilities are designed to cater to the specific needs of our students.
- Dormitory Block: Providing safe and comfortable accommodation for our boarding students.
The school campus is situated on a 10-hectare plot along Shamva Road, approximately 1km from the intersection of Shamva Road and Mutoko Road in Harare, Zimbabwe. The serene and spacious environment is ideal for the nurturing and development of our students.
The goal is to raise USD 2.5 million to fully realize this vision. While significant strides have been made, there is still much to be done. The upcoming phase of construction will include (among others):
- Administration Block
- Dining Room
- Additional Classrooms
- More Dormitories
But the vision doesn’t stop there. Once this campus is completed, plans are already in place to build a secondary school and a technical college. This will ensure that our students can continue their education within the same nurturing environment, receiving the quality education they deserve.
The vision is expansive, with more campuses planned in the future. However, we cannot achieve this alone. We appeal to members of Forward in Faith Ministries International and the broader community for donations. Your support will help us complete this project and put a smile on the face of a disabled student, giving them a bright future.
